Scar House and Angram Reservoir Circular walk

Distance: 6.5 Mile

Time: 2.5 hrs

Difficulty: Easy

This route starts from the free car park, nearest postcode HG3 5SW, which is near the end of the reservoir damĀ  Follow the private tarmac access road, which turns off to the right about 100 metres after Lofthouse village when driving towards Middlesmoor.

To get to Lofthouse Village from Pateley Bridge, follow Low Wath Road for about 7 miles

Sitting at the head of beautiful Nidderdale is Scar House Reservoir, it was built by Bradford Corporation to supply water to the Bradford area.
Water is transferred via the Nidd aqueduct, which is a major engineering achievement as it transports water without pumping and is a sight well worth visiting.

A beautiful walk with views across to little Whernside and great Whernside and the impressive Scar house Dam, There is very little in the way of climbing and the route is fairly obvious on clear well defined paths in the most part.
